Record labels made most of their money through the selling on CDs and Vinyls in the 20th century.
However, as technology developed throughout the years, this became a problem for the income of
record labels due to the fact that the internet is available for anyone to download
music through websites such as iTunes or Spotify, and illegal downloads are also increasing. This means that CDs and Vinyls are no longer the main income from record labels and online companies are taking over.
